The Bulldog by Charter Arms has been released in all shapes and sizes since its debut in 1973.
It was a top seller throughout the 1970s and 1980s and considered the company’s trademark weapon.
Recently Charter went back to their roots and re-released the classic version of the .44 special that’s perfect for home or personal defense.
This is a rugged “no-frill” revolver that’s simple, effective, and inexpensive. It’s design features surprisngly few sharp edges making an easy draw from holster or pocket. Most bulldogs are found in the snub-nose configuration with a barrel less than 3″, but there is a 4.2″ model as well.
Featuring a traditional double-action, this solid frame revolver has a five round cylinder and a big bore. It’s surprisingly light for its size making it a great choice for an every day carry revolver.
