Kimber is known for their 1911s, but over the past few years they’ve been making headway in the revolver market.
The New York-based weapons manufacturer just announced three new K6S lightweight .357 Mags for everyday carry.
First up is the DAO Stainless 3″ .357 Magnum with an internal hammer and match grade trigger. Weighing just 23 ounces empty, Kimber touts this new revolver as the “world’s lightest production 6-round, 3-inch, .357 Magnum.” It has an overall length of just 7.62″, smooth walnut grip, and no sharp edges for a faster draw with no snags. MSRP is just under $900.
Next is the DC “Deep Cover,” a 2″ .357 Magnum with a stainless steel frame in a black finish. Based on the same design as the Stainless 3″, the DC is slightly smaller for improved concealability. It also features laminated wood grips and three-dot tritium night sights. Expect to spend another $250 for this dark beauty.
Finally there’s the CDP “Custom Defense Package,” which features the same superior ergonomic design expected from all Kimber revolvers. Like the other two wheelguns above, the CDP has a stainless steel frame and match-grade trigger. The two-tone frame is black with a stainless barrel, cylinder, and trigger. The CDP has rosewood grips, tritium night sights, 2″ barrel and $1,155 price tage like the DC.
