Dan Bilzerian, the trust-fund playboy who claims to be an “operator” because he was a former SEAL candidate, has been slammed by Medal of Honor recipient Marine Sgt. Dakota Meyer over his Las Vegas shooting video.
Like countless others in the fleeing crowd, Bilzerian pulled out his cell phone to take a video of the chaos. Unlike similar videos, Bilzerian’s footage was centered on his own face. “Holy f***, this girl just got shot in the fucking head,” Bilzerian says as he runs past several injured people.

Bilzerian claims he was running to get a handgun when he took the video above, but Meyer isn’t convinced. At 29-years-old, the Marine Sergeant is the second youngest living Medal of Honor recipient. Meyer was awarded the highest and most prestigious military decoration in the United States for his actions in Kunar Province, Afghanistan in 2009.
“Dan Bilzerian is a coward,” said Meyer on Facebook after watching Bilzerian run past injured victims. “Either A) he’s a liar and looking for followers or B) he’s a coward because he just passed someone who is hurt– and he has millions of followers! This is why our children should not rate people by the followers they have, or the videos, the girls, or the guns they have around them.”
Meyer says he would not be so eager to put Bilzerian on notice if the playboy wasn’t always “trying to play operator.” Bilzerian is known for his larger-than-life social media presence with more than 1.46 million Twitter followers. Famous for his wealth, guns, and half-naked female companionship, Bilzerian seeks credibility in the military community for making it “99 percent” of the way to becoming a Navy SEAL. In 2000, Bilzerian was removed from SEAL training for safety violations.
“He is part of the problem,” Meyer says, “[he] would rather video than do what’s right and be able to help people.”
