Springfield has been keeping their cards close to the chest, but this week it was time to show. They unveiled the XDE, their latest concealed carry weapon that’s got a few tricks up it’s sleeve.
The Springfield XDE is a 1″ wide, hammer-fired, single stack 9mm with a 3.3″ barrel that hopes to bring some competition to the striker-fire market.
Springfield is incredibly proud of their all new patent-pending hammer design and a “low-effort” slide that’s 27% easier to rack than similar compact firearms. The XDE offers “fewer slipped pulls, sore fingers and missed shots. The exposed hammer clearly shows gun mode, and the single/double action trigger offers options for shooting style,” says Springfield.
MSRP for the XDE is sitting just under $520. Take a first look at the XDE in the video below.
