21-year-old Lauren from San Diego lost her arm in a moped accident. “I was going pretty fast on a moped and lost control of it, and I hit the median in the road,” she told BuzzFeed. “I flew off and hit a sign and it sliced my arm off. I stayed conscious the whole time.”
Her life was saved by a police officer trained to apply a tourniquet. “I remember I asked the cop, ‘Hey, am I gonna die?’ and he said, ‘No, you’ll be fine,'”
Lauren’s life was changed forever, but she found a way to cope with her injury through humor. “For a while, I wasn’t okay with the jokes,” said Lauren. “But then I started telling the jokes, and it’s kind of helped.”

She started taking more and more pictures with her left shoulder in full view (for those who are confused, the top picture is a selfie taken by the front facing camera of her phone which flips the image like a mirror).
Last week Lauren’s twisted sense of humor became an internet sensation when her Tinder profile went viral.

According to her profile, she’s a professional “arms dealer” who’s “hands down the best catch on tinder.”
“I got home pretty drunk, and I don’t remember typing it up really,” she said. “I just woke up to someone DM’ing me a Reddit post asking if it was me, and I was like damn, I guess it is.”
It doesn’t look like she’ll have much trouble finding a date anytime soon. Men everywhere have been swiping right and leaving comments on social media.

Other’s reached out to Lauren thanking her for not hiding her injury.”I have never really hid it,” she said. “People don’t see that very often, so a lot of people DM me to tell me it’s really helpful to them, people who are also missing limbs or are disabled.”
“People always respond like, ‘Oh, I feel bad for laughing,’” she said. “And I’m like, ‘No! I think it’s funny…I made it!’”
What do you think? Would you swipe right for Lauren?
