While the jury still can’t reach a verdict, tensions are beginning to rise around the Pennsylvania courtroom where Bill Cosby stands on trial for felony sexual assault.
The aging star surprised the crowd while leaving the courtroom yesterday as he yelled the infamous Fat Albert catchphrase “Hey, hey, hey!” Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids was a popular animated TV series in the 1970s.
The judge in Cosby’s case has rejected a mistrial yet again and ordered the jury back to deliberations. Cosby’s defense team has asked for a mistrial twice after the threat of a hung jury grows.
“We’re in the 40th hour and we can only imagine the emotional and physical toll this has taken on the jurors and we’re just hoping that the judge, if they don’t have a verdict by now, he would release them, and just say that this thing is a deadlock,” said Cosby spokesman Andrew Wyatt.
