A trio of soccer moms turned bounty hunters attempted to arrest a suspect and failed miserably.
Fortunately they were all wearing cameras in an attempt to create an amateur reality TV show.
Instead of looking like the suburban version of Dog The Bounty Hunter, the “Lipstick Bounty Hunters” accidentally made the best episode of Reno 9-1-1 we’ve ever seen.
They’re trying to arrest Daniel Duvall, a 35-year-old drug dealing criminal on bail for $100,000. The LBH were hired by the bail bond company to revoke his bond for a breach of contract. The women set up a trap at Arby’s in Huntington Beach, California. Everything spins out of control and Duvall escapes almost immediately.
Duvall’s nose was broken and he was permanently blinded in one eye after being shot by rubber bullets. His attorney Dan Gilleon said the women used excessive force in their miserable attempt to arrest Duvall. The LBH women disagree. “I believe we didn’t use enough force, because if we had he would have never gotten away,” Teresa Golt told ABC News. “We did not anticipate he would not come alone. In fact, he showed up with five to six buddies and three cars.”
The LBH women captured and arrested Duvall the following day, but he was immediately re-released on a bond after the contract error was corrected. ‘These women are far from legitimate, far from competent, they are just simply women wearing pink with video cameras in hand trying to promote themselves,’ Gilleon said.
The women were sued in 2013 after assaulting a 25-year-old mother and her 7-year-old child while searching for the woman’s boyfriend.
