Man mows the lawns of 2,000 US veterans for free, then the Queen of England honored him for it

Rodney Smith Jr. started trying to help out veterans in his community by mowing lawns, and he probably never in a million years expected to hear from the Queen of England herself.

Smith cuts lawns for free. It’s to help elderly or disabled veterans and he just wants to help. He also mows lawns for single moms or the widows of veterans.

It all started when Smith saw a man struggling to cut his grass and he decided he’d step in.

Queen Elizabeth heard about the man and sent him a badge of honor knows as the “Queen’s Award.” It’s pretty amazing.

He already had a great story to tell, now he’s got a trophy of sorts to show for it.
