Dana Loesch, a spokeswoman for the National Rifle Association, was forced to flee her home after receiving numerous death threats from gun-control advocates.
She talked about the threats on twitter,
#MeToo.

She shared a photo of plastic garbage bags and cardboard boxes quickly filled with her belongings in preparation of a rushed relocation. “One guy hunted down my private cell phone number, called when police were here, threatened to shoot me in my front yard,” she wrote on Twitter. “Another guy created a string of social media accounts, posted photos of my house, threatened to rape me to death.”
Some gun-control advocates even went so far as to threaten the lives of her children.

She included the #MeToo hashtag, which shows her solidarity with other victims of sexual harassment and assault. The #MeToo campaign began after allegations that film producer Harvey Weinstein had sexually abused women for decades. Loesch used the hashtag to draw attention to the threats of sexual violence directed at women for their support of the 2nd Ammendment.
“I’ve only ever discussed these issues kinda vaguely,” Loesch tweeted. “More I can’t discuss. I and other 2A women are sexually threatened regularly.”
She also pointed out the hypocrisy among the people who condemn Weinstein but will quickly mistreat women who don’t agree with their political views. “I see conservative women regularly abused on social media by some of the same people slamming Weinstein,” she said. “The culture is only non-conservative women deserve respect,” Loesch explained. “It’s idiotic, demonstrated daily, and deserving of more than 140 characters.”
“I don’t hate anyone that disagrees with me,” Loesch said. “My advocacy for Second Amendment rights isn’t designed to magically put a firearm in the hands of someone else. I just want people to have that choice. And all of this has really underscored why I carry. It makes me so grateful that I can protect myself.”
Gun-control advocacy leader Chelsea Clinton responded to Loesch with a tweet condemning the threats.
Dana – this is all awful & unacceptable. Those of us who disagree with you the strongest have a particular responsible to strongly condemn. https://t.co/jJXk9VB54p

“Maybe now you understand why I believe all women have the right to defend themselves with 2A and expand their skills w training,” Loesch wrote on Twitter.
