The arrest of a fleeing criminal proves that sometimes life is stranger than fiction.
In what could be a scene from an action movie, a police helicopter manages to subdue a robbery suspect after a lengthy car chase that ended in a grassy field near Houston, Texas. The perpetrator in a red shirt can be seen fleeing on foot through the tall grass as a helicopter closes in on his position.
A police car attempts to box him in, but the criminal manages to escape again. Finally the helicopter pilot lands and Officer Steven Borgstedte leaps from the aircraft to quickly overtake the suspect.
The criminal isn’t done yet and attempts to fight the pilot. The entire event was captured on video by a SkyFOX news helicopter following the action from a distance.
According to Fox News Insider, Officer Borgstedte said he’s been patrolling for years, but this is the first time he’s had to jump from a helicopter to make an arrest!
