A family of armed thieve just won the “Ambient Temperature Challenge” with a little help from a bank security guard.
The outnumbered guard managed to come out on top thanks to a mixture of skill, luck, and opportunity.
The entire event was captured on multiple security cameras earlier this week.
A woman in San Jose, Costa Rica was transporting approximately $50,000 in cash when she was knocked unconscious by a man wearing a motorcycle helmet.
A security guard ran to her aid, tackling the first robber. What happened next was an absolute melee of hand-to-hand combat and gunplay.
When the smoke finally cleared, two of the thieves were dead on the ground and the third was sent to the hospital with fatal injuries that took his life a few hours later.
The three culprits were later identified as 46-year-old Carlos Roberto Quesada Ramírez and his two sons Daniel Josué Quesada Fuentes, 21, and Jessie Roberto Quesada Fuentes, 29.
At least one of the thugs was wearing level III armor under his clothing, according to El Heraldo de Costa Rica.
