Springfield Armory has unveiled another new product, a pocket-sized 1911 in .380 ACP.
Shooters are already drawing comparisons between the 911 Series and Sig Sauer’s P238. Both pocket pistols are designed for concealed carry with a 1911 feel.
“The new Springfield Armory 911 is an ideal carry pistol or backup gun, with the features, quickness and reliability to save lives. When the Police are minutes away and the threat is seconds away….9-1-1…When you have to be your own first responder,” Springfield said in a press release.
The 911 features a 2.7″ barrel with an overall length under 6″. The total weight is just over 12 oz. empty and the trigger weight sits right at 5 lbs.
Springfield’s latest product comes with a Ameriglo Pro-Glo green tritium front sight seated in a yellow circle with a pair of white circles on the rear U-notch. The 911 is available with either a stainless steel or black Nitride slide.
