A group of campers have an absolute blast on mother nature’s lazy Susan. Either the ice was cut for this specific purpose or it was a naturally occurring phenomenon known as “spinning ice.” When cold flowing water creates an eddy in sub-freezing temperatures, a giant spinning pancake of ice can form over the turbulent water with some stillness at the center. This bizarre act of mother nature is known to occur in the rivers of England, Canada, and the northern United States among other cold places of the globe. If the ice is thick enough, a few thrill seekers could have a dangerously good time on a natural merry-go-round.
