NCIS star Maria Bello was slammed with negative comments from viewers who felt her recent Instagram photo was shameful.
The photo in question was during weapons training for her television series,
Complainers say that it is insensitive for Bello to share a photo of herself holding an AR-15 in the wake of the Las Vegas Massacre.
“That’s a shameful pic,” one individual wrote. “Always been a fan, but glamorizing assault weapons after Vegas is clumsy at best, callous at worst. One less fan. Good luck with ‘NCIS.’”
“There is nothing sexy about anyone holding a gun,” said another.
“Weird timing for posting this,” said one viewer.
Weird timing? The photo was posted on October 22, three weeks after the shooting. These complaints make us ask an important question, how long must gun owners wait to continue living their lives after a tragedy without it seeming “insensitive?” Futhermore, this image has absolutely nothing to do with Las Vegas whatsoever.
These complaints are a sad reminder that pro gun-control lobbyists are hard at work to make anyone who supports the 2nd amendment look like a callous villain for doing so. Maria Bello is an actress on a popular television series that frequently involves the use of firearms. No one seems to think it’s insensitive for her character, Agent Jack Sloane, to use a firearm.
Fortunately there were plenty of viewers who came forward to support and encourage Bello. “Finger straight and off the trigger? ???? Also don’t let people intimidate your freedom,” wrote one viewer.
“Never watched before, but this is inspiring ???? #Freedom” said another supporter.
And our absolute favorite, “Don’t even watch ncis, but i will now just to piss off the butt hurt people who find this offensive. Don’t let people stop you from doing what you enjoy just cause they disagree with it.”
What do you think about 2A shaming?
