Ronda Rousey hosted her first episode, and probably ONLY episode, of Saturday Night Live with mostly duds but one sketch got a lot of attention although maybe not quite the kind they were expecting. Some people thought it went too far when Rousey portrayed a teacher who had sex with an underage student.
Twitter went wild after the skit with lots of people complaining about making a joke of statutory rape.
So what do you think? Did the writers and Rousey go too far or is this just another bit where people showed a complete lack of sense of humor where Saturday Night Live is concerned? The skit wasn’t particularly original, this joke has been reiterated throughout comedy over the years. Either way, some people were NOT happy! See what some people on Twitter had to say:
SNL trivializing sexual harassment, rape, inappropriate student/teacher relationships was appalling. Do better.

Are they really doing a skit about statutory rape? #snl

Yet another sketch that didn't need to be revisited: The hilarity of female-on-male statutory rape. #ugh #snl
